Only four days left until the fourth anniversary of the one and only winter mountain bike freeride competition - the White Style - hits Leogang on Friday, January 30th. It's time to present the final rider list and some details about the course that is designed and built by Kona Clump Team rider Grant "Chopper" Fielder. 24 riders from twelve countries join the challenging slopestyle competition. Among them are the most successful riders of the season 2008: White Style winner Trond Hansen, Nissan Qashqai Challenge overall winner Lance McDermott, Adidas Slopestyle winner Sam Pilgrim and Crankworx Slopestyle Whistler winner Andreu Lacondeguy: Grant Fielder UK Lance McDermott UK Mike Smith UK Sam Pilgrim UK Linus Sjöholm SWE Martin Söderström SWE Jakub Vencl POL Trond Hansen NOR Kevin Katinas NED Nick Pescetto ITA Amir Kabbani GER Andi Wittmann GER Benny Korthaus GER Mike Plümacher GER Yannick Granieri FRA Andreu Lacondeguy ESP Lluis Lacondeguy ESP Damjan Siriski CZE Thomas Zejda CZE Andi Brewi AUT Anton Hörl AUT Matthias Garber AUT Niki Leitner AUT Patrick Leitner AUT Chopper builds the whole track out of snow and wood. The course is located right next to the Schantei ski-lift station, which is close to the town centre of Leogang. The course measures a length of about 200 metres and consists of various jumps and obstacles: After the start drop at the very beginning, the track is split up in two lines: a super-sized XXL line and a regular trick'n'style section. The big one uses a three to four metres step down (wooden launch ramp & snow landing) to gain the speed for biggest double on the course, the sender: a snow kicker and landing which makes the riders fly at least 20 metres far! The parallel trick'n'style line features three doubles (wooden launch ramps and snow landings). After the first section, the two parallel lines unite again to hit roller, followed by a satellite dish and a step up step down combination: wooden jump ramp, platform and a kicker for a three to four metres step down with a snow landing. White Style's last jump is a bigger sized snow double again, featuring two different transitions for exactly that kick that the riders want for the last trick. Expect to see some big air and killer tricks on Choppers massive course lay out in Leogang! Qualification runs (two runs, best one counts) are on Friday, January 30th, at 06:00 pm. The big finals are scheduled a bit later, at 08:30 pm. The twelve finalists complete two runs to determine the winners of 4.000 Euros overall prize money. Afterwards a hard rocking party will heat up the riders as well as the fans until the early morning. The Bikepark Leogang, CamelBak, ONE BIG PARK and Kona are proud to present Europe’s best riders, a lot of airtime, big tricks, as well as a great after party at the Kralleralm.
